Hotel Vänerport welcomes dogs in our annex, both large and small. When you book a dog room, we can also arrange for a nice dog bed and food & water bowl for you.

Are you thinking about where to walk your dog? Nearby is the beautiful nature reserve Gamla Ekudden where you can take a walk with the dog along the edge of Lake Vänern and beautiful views. Read more here. And why not combine the walk with a quick dip in Lake Vänern?

During the summer, you might want to take your dog out for a swim. Then you can take a trip out to Sandviken, which is happy to welcome both humans and their best friends.

If you want to take your dog to a restaurant, there are several options in Mariestad that are happy to accept dogs. Examples are Levins & Co.

Unfortunately, our public areas such as the lobby and dining room are not accessible to dogs. But our outdoor terrace is happy to welcome visitors! Ask at the reception and we will show you where our dog gate is located, which will gladly let your little friend in. If the sun is out, please ask for a water bowl so that everyone in the company stays happy and healthy.

If you want to bring your dog, call or email the hotel for booking so we have access to dog rooms on the date you want to come. There is a fee of SEK 250 / night / dog for the dog in addition to the room cost.
