Q. Breakfast?
At Vänerport hotel we have an appreciated breakfast buffet with a variety of tasty options. Normally breakfast is included in the price, only a few days a year the price is exclusive of breakfast and it is stated at the time of booking.
Q. What about parking?
YES! We cannot reserve a parking space in advance but it is usually not difficult to find parking. The hotel has a parking lot right next to the main building where guests can stand, and the large harbor parking lot opposite the hotel has free parking 24h.
We also have a charging station for electric cars, these are rentable for 150 SEK per night.
Q. Dog friendly room?
The hotel welcomes dogs. If you would like to bring your pet, please contact us to see if these rooms are available. There is an additional fee of SEK 250 per dog per night. Dogs are not allowed in the public areas of the hotel. But the dog is welcome on our restaurant terrace or your private patio :)
Q. Early arrival?
The official check-in time is after 15.00 according to international standards. IF the room is available for early arrival, you can of course check in then (no extra charge!). Talk to the receptionist when you arrive and they will arrange an earlier check-in if possible. If you know before your arrival date that you will be arriving earlier, please let us know so we can keep it in mind.
Please note that we are often fully booked, so please... give us time to make the room nice for you :)
Q. Late arrival?
No problem, we can easily solve that. The reception is open until 21.00 usually. If you know you will arrive after closing, please contact us during our opening hours and we will give you instructions on how to get your key.
Q. Late check-out?
If you want to check out after 11:00, talk to the receptionist and we can usually arrange it for you. A fee of 150kr/hour will be added. Last check-out is 15.00.
Q. Do you accept cash?
A. No. Hotel Vänerport is a completely cashless hotel. We only accept payment by card, Swish or invoice (companies only).
Hotel rooms & Apartments
The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings unless otherwise stated/agreed at the time of booking. This applies to all types of bookings:: online via booking.com or expedia.com, online via website, via third party, email contact or via phone call.
A valid credit or debit card is required to guarantee the booking.
Hotel Vänerport reserves the right to charge the full amount of the reservation the day before arrival.
The hotel is not responsible for cancellations or changes to reservations made through online travel agencies such as Booking.com or Hotel.com. To cancel or change your reservation through an Online Travel Agency please contact them directly. The booking condition you chose when booking (non-refundable or cancelable) applies to changes or cancellations.
If you have booked with non-refundable booking conditions, you cannot change dates or cancel afterwards.
Standard cancellation policy when booking directly with the hotel (by phone, email or website): free cancellation up to 48h before arrival: in case of late cancellation, the hotel will charge for the entire booked stay. Please note that if you booked with the condition NON-refundable, we will always charge the full cost of the reservation. No matter what happens, you will still have to pay for your room.
For group bookings or bookings with a special offer price, free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before the arrival date. In case of late cancellation, you will be charged for a certain percentage of the rooms canceled based on the total number of rooms and the number of rooms canceled. If the entire booking is canceled, 100% of the booking will be charged.
If the guest has received a credit at the hotel, the credit is valid until the specified last date and only subject to availability. If the hotel is unable to arrange a stay according to the guest's wishes within the time the credit is valid, the credit is not extended.
A valid ID must be presented at check-in, otherwise the hotel reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund.
Late check-out: if the key / key card is returned after 11:00 without agreement with the staff, the guest will be charged an extra night.
If the guest does not return the key/key card or the key/key card is lost, the guest will be charged a fee.
The guest or the person responsible for the booking is liable for any damage caused by the guest's negligence or reckless behavior.
All rooms, apartments and public areas are non-smoking, in case of violation, the guest will be charged a fee for smoke cleaning.
When booking an apartment, please note that your reservation is for a standard apartment and that the hotel cannot guarantee you a specific apartment. The hotel reserves the right to assign the guest to different apartments even for subsequent stays according to the standard of accommodation reserved and within 400m of the hotel.
If you booked your apartment with the condition: Non-refundable, the reservation is made without cancellation protection, which means that it cannot be canceled free of charge. The advance booking will be charged or invoiced in advance when the booking is completed. By agreement, the payment can be divided quarterly when booking over 6 months. If you cancel before check-in, early check-out or cancel during your stay, the cost of your stay will not be refunded and any unpaid invoice must be paid by the due date.
If you have booked your apartment with cancellation protection, you have: free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. The booking is charged in advance or invoiced monthly in advance for the next month. Cancellation of parts of the booking after the check-in date is subject to one month's notice.
If the guest chooses to use the hotel's laundry service, it is at their own risk, if damage to garments or changes in garments occur as a result of washing, the hotel is not liable for this unless it occurs due to unjustifiable negligence.
If the guest asks the hotel to mail forgotten belongings, the hotel is not responsible for the mail handling of these belongings. Upon request, the hotel can send registered packages with tracking possibilities or with insurance if the property is valuable. The hotel does not take responsibility for packages that do not arrive, but after the package is submitted to the post office, responsibility for the property is transferred to the delivering company.
Purchased gift cards can be redeemed for the desired service or product according to the type of gift card and only subject to availability.
Force majeure: impediments to the implementation of the booking such as strikes, fires, natural disasters, etc. that are not under the hotel's control give the right to cancel the agreement without liability.
Payment can be made by card, Swish or invoice. The card specified when booking is valid as a guarantee for the booking. You agree when you enter the card details that the card will be charged according to the booking conditions.
When paying by invoice, a SEK 50 administrative fee will be added. Payment terms: 14 days net. Interest on arrears: reference rate +15%. A late fee will be charged for late payment. Failure to provide reference to invoice when booking leading to the need for re-invoicing will be charged double administrative fee. By completing the application for purchase against invoice, the applicant assures that the information provided is correct & complete.
The hotel is not responsible for luggage left for storage. If you leave property that has a high value with the hotel, you are obliged to inform the hotel staff of this. The hotel does not take responsibility for property of high value. According to generally accepted agreements, the hotel is not responsible for loose valuables, e.g. in clothes left in storage such as car keys.
When booking a conference, cancellation must be made at least 1 week before arrival, change of number of participants / arrangements must be made at least 2 days before arrival, otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged.
When booking Gutenbergshuset for a party or art exhibition, cancellation must be made no later than 14 days before the access date, otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged. Payment of the rental fee must be made no later than one week before access.
The premises must always be left in the same condition as they were and be cleaned. If the premises are not cleaned, a fee of SEK 2000 will be charged. The guest or the person responsible for the booking is responsible for any damage that occurs due to negligence or irresponsible behavior of the guest and will be charged for any costs incurred.
Art exhibition: For the weekends you rent Gutenbergshuset, you have free access to the premises from Friday 15.00 to Sunday 20.00. Exhibitors are responsible for ensuring that art does not cover large floor areas in the room when exhibiting more than one weekend. When exhibiting several consecutive weekends when the art is displayed, it is at the exhibitor's own risk.
Party room: when booking a party room, you have access to the room from 12.00 to 12.00 the following day. When the key is returned, the room must be cleaned and in the same condition as it was at the time of access, otherwise a cleaning fee will be charged. Out of consideration for neighboring properties and homes, the noise level must be at an appropriate level after 22:00. An additional fee will be charged in the event of complaints or non-compliance with the comfort rules.
