Visit Ekudden which has a nice sandy beach or rock pool if you are up for it! You can also visit their outdoor pool during the summer. Snapenbadet is popular with Mariestad residents, with a sandy beach and large grassy areas.

Hotel Vänerport rents out bicycles so you as a guest can look around at a reasonable pace. There are several beautiful bike trails you can take, perhaps towards Kinnekulle to see the lovely agricultural landscape and cozy forest.

Padel

The hotel is just a stone's throw from the popular padel court in the harbor, which quickly becomes fully booked during the summer. If the weather is bad, you can play in the newly built padel arena located in central Mariestad.
